Here are some cute sleeping pictures of Zack. They're all sleeping pictures because that's all he does right now! I love him so much! He is such a sweet and squishy little boy!

GQ-ing it for all the foxy ladies out there

I caught this smile during his nap!

Tyson's relaxing after a long day. Kicking back and watching the game. He is so funny because the only thing he will ever sit still for is a football game. He loves it...and we love that he loves it!
My boys...I just love saying that!

I can't stop staring at sleeping babies. They look so peaceful!
All of this to play Halo 3...David cracks me up! When he wants something bad enough, he will stop at nothing to get it!
3 generations of Kemps

Getting ready for the BYU/Utah game...go Cougs!
Zack's first bath...he loved it! He was so mellow the whole time!
My mom came to visit for a few days and it was awesome! We had such a great time together and the boys, especially Tyson, just couldn't get enough of her! Tyson still points to certain Christmas decorations and says "Nana" because she helped put them up. We hope to see her again very soon!

Our beautiful tree, thanks to Mom!

We got an early and very special Christmas present this year!

Tyson loves holding his brother
and kissing him!

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! We love you!

Zachary Austin Kemp
November 11, 2009
5:52pm
6lbs. 14oz.
18.5in. long
My water broke, 9 days early, at 4:45am. Now, when I say broke, I really mean that the Hoover Dam burst. I had no idea that my little body could hold that much water! And it seemed to never end!
This was definitely a surprise since my last appointment showed "nothing." No effacement or dilation. And I was 2 days late with Tyson so I just expected to go late with #2.....WRONG!
I labored 3 1/2 hours at home and then started to bleed. That made me a little nervous, so we decided to head to the hospital. I was dialted to a 2 when we got there. We walked the halls together for the next 3 hours and dialted to a 5cm. For the next 6 hours after that, my contractions became much more intense but also much more infrequent. This was a completely different labor from Tyson!
The contractions were bearable but I was getting so sleepy! It was the strangest feeling! I could barely keep my eyes open and kept dozing off while in the tub, on the ball, on all fours, standing up, etc. All I could think about was taking a nap! So I talked to the nurse about getting my first epidural since 12 hours had passed and I was assumed to still be at 5cm.
I made the decision to go ahead with the epidural so I could take a nap. Turns out the nurse was wrong. Even though my body had slowed the frequency of contractions, my body was still working to get that baby out and I was actually dilated to an 8cm when they administered the epidural!
This was a shock and a little frustrating, but I must admit, the last 45min of labor were so much fun! The epidural did not hurt at all, and I enjoyed some good ol' country music for the actual birth. The radio was playing "Be my baby tonight" by John Michael Montgomery and I thought it was a perfect song! Dave and I were singing, dancing, laughing, getting him all gowned up for the delivery, wondering if it was a boy or girl, seeing the head crown with lots of dark hair...it was pure joy! All of it! So I don't regret anything that when on that day. I didn't have any kind of hospital experience with Tyson's birth, so this was really a lot of fun and what I had planned on with Tyson. I am really glad that I got to experience this type of labor and birth with Zack.
I am also so blessed to have an amazing husband hold my hand to walk the halls, and then just sit around and watch his wife deal with the pain of labor in silence....for 12 hours! Yes, I was silent basically the entire time. I hardly spoke a word to David! Poor guy! But that's how I deal with pain. I lock my mind inside and block everything out. He's the best husband and wouldn't leave my side. Even though he didn't hear it from me for a while, I am so glad he was there with me to experience the birth of our second little boy!
Here is a picture of me after getting the epidural. That's right, I'm putting on a little makeup for after-baby pictures!

Proud Papa and deliverer. He was honestly amazing at delivering our little boy!

Minutes after birth. Welcome to our family Zachary Austin!

Just a picture to show his hair

After his first sponge bath

He loved being under the heat lamp

His first outfit "I love hugs" from Grandma Mauldin

My handsome boys
David says, "Real men wear yellow."

Happy Mama

Tyson was so excited to hold his little brother! He couldn't wait to get his hands and lips all over him!

Kissing Zack

Another reason I love my husband. He surprised me with beautiful roses, a yummy holiday candle and my favorite treat, Rolos!

Baby Zack hanging out on the couch

Tyson was so excited to show Zack every toy he owns. He kept trying to give him trucks, a ball, his popper...Tyson even showed Zack how the popper worked by running circles in the living room and making sure that we were holding him up to see his big brother! He was so cute about showing his little bro. the ropes!
The boys in my life
Here is the video of Tyson's first meeting with his new baby brother. He was so sweet and gentle! I love my boys and am so blessed to now be a mother of 2!

Eye of the Tiger

Tyson was able to wear his boxing costume three times this year! The first set of pictures is when we went to the Portland Community Center for a Costume Carnival. We brought 2 cans of food for 4 free game tickets. Tyson even kicked a soccer ball into the goal for a prize! He's an awesome athlete and we love it!
Put up your dukes!

The carnival also had story time with bubbles and scarves, which Tyson absolutely loved!

For FHE the following Monday, we carved and colored our pumpkins.

FYI: crayons don't work on pumpkins, but I was trying to prevent the following two pictures by not giving Tyson markers! He thought they were chapstick! So funny! Good thing they were washable markers!

Tyson and Daddy working on their pumpkins

Getting a good look at the pumpkin guts.
Helping scoop out the seeds.
Decided his hand might get out more seeds than the spoon...
...then decided he was wrong to stick his hand in there! He kept saying "Ewwwwww," and whimpering for me to wipe it off!

The Friday before Halloween, I threw a costume party for my playgroup. It was a lot of work, but parties are always worth it! Here is Tyson "helping" in the kitchen.
"I didn't eat any chocolate, Mom. Nope! Not me!"
Actually, this picture looks like he's dang proud of the chocolate he ate!

Here are some of the goodies from the party, which everyone contributed to. YUM! This is why I love parties!
(Do you notice the creepy hand in the background?? Haha! Tyson was trying to sneak a treat!)
Everyone having a blast at the party

Then on Halloween, we took Tyson to downtown Gresham to go Trick or Treating for the first time. He loved all the costumes and would stare at the shopkeepers for at least a minute after they put a piece of candy in his basket. He didn't quite get it at first!
He started to catch on quickly, though! I love this picture! His face is priceless!
"Look what I got?! Can you believe it?!"
We let him have one piece of candy that night. His second Dum Dum ever and he loved every lick! He even tried to eat the paper stick!

"Mmmmmmmmm"
Aren't his lips just perfect?!
I guess Tyson had a little TOO much fun trick or treating!
"It was just a Dum Dum Officer, I promise!"
We hope everyone had a great Halloween!

The Pumpkin Patch

**Sorry that these pictures are out of sequence!**
Here is Tyson getting an adjustment from Dad after a long morning trying to find the perfect pumpkin and dodging a ridiculous thunder storm! As you can tell, he absolutely LOVES getting massaged and worked on. He will even tell you where on his back he would like to be adjusted and if you don't get it right, you better believe you're doing it again!

Repaying the favor. He's a great masseuse!

I guess Tyson wanted a baby in his tummy too!
He thought this was so funny!

Whenever anyone else gets treated, Tyson will crawl under the table and look up at you to make sure you're doing alright.

Mama at 35 weeks and counting! Some woman jokingly accused me of trying smuggle out a pumpkin...not a bad idea! Maybe next year!

The farm had these adorable mini wheel barrels and Tyson loved pushing it around.
Pushing it with his pumpkin in it, on the other hand, was not as fun as he thought!

Kissin' Daddy

He went crazy on this horse! Loved every second!

Trying to climb up into this thing while pregnant was ridiculous! I had the hardest time lifting my leg that high, but it made for a pretty cute picture!

"Ummmm, is someone gonna get me down?"

His perfect pumpkin was a little heavier than he expected, I think!

My handsome, little stud

Exactly one year ago at the same farm. Can you believe how much my baby has grown??

"Meow"

His face here cracks me up! He obviously didn't appreciate this!

Just a few cute shots from a couple of days ago...He's sitting in my laundry basket scooping out peanut butter with his fingers. He loves peanut butter (on certain days) and only plain. He will not eat any kind of sandwich, and jam is especially disgusting! Funny huh?!

Finger-lickin' good!

Tyson has to earn his keep around here...does that make me a bad Mom?

I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home!

David had a 2 week break from school and went to Utah for the first week of it to see if that's where we eventually want to settle and set up our practice. That left Tyson with just me all week....poor guy!
Actually, it was one of the best weeks we've had together! I made sure that we stayed incredibly busy exploring parks, baking, making dinner, playgroups, library story time, going out to dinner with his Mom, and going to his first parade ever! It was called the Teddy Bear Parade and he brought his favorite bear along and sat on my lap for the entire hour and watched fire trucks, tons of dogs, kids on bikes, cheerleaders, bands, and horses. He loved it!
I just love my little Tyson Bradley! He is so funny and loves to make me laugh, gives me big hugs and kisses, sits on my ever-shrinking lap to read stories, loves to vacuum and wipe up floors, and of course, dance, dance, dance! I am just so thankful for him in my life and how much pure joy he brings everyday.
Here he is making dinner with Daddy who just got home! He was so excited to see him and so was I! We made apricot-glazed salmon that night and Tyson absolutely loved it! He's our fish eater, for sure!

We brought Daddy along with us to the Children's Museum and had a great time together!

Weighing the apples. He loves the mini grocery store!

He thought this was pretty cool...turn the wheel and water shoots out and makes something else move!

Here they are building a strong current for the little ducky

The next day we went to the indoor play gym at a community center and Tyson loved the basketball hoop. Slam Dunk!

Our friends Chase and Amanda were also there and Tyson decided to catch a ride

General Conference was this weekend and in between sessions we decided to get some wiggles out by going to a nearby park. The city put fresh barkdust down and the smell was amazing! I love fall with crisp leaves and air! Tyson definitely loved all the sticks and pinecones! He even made friends with a ridiculously friendly squirrel....it made Mama nervous how close it came to him sometimes so we went to a different area of the park! I didn't want to have to bust out some hardcore karate moves on that poor, unsuspecting squirrel, but I was more than ready if it tried to make a move on my baby!

There were quite a few runners on the trail and Tyson loved running after all of them! It was so funny! Mostly because when he runs, he only swings his right arm! He's so cute!

Making us laugh again!

Me and my favorite little boy

Belly shot at 33 weeks! So, am I having a boy or a girl? Any guesses? I can't believe I have about 6 weeks left! I'm doing pretty well and gaining pounds steadily...more than I want, but whatever! Just tell me how great I look, okay? Haha!
Enjoy this beautiful Fall!

Last Days of Summer

We went down to Bend for a weekend so David could climb North Sister Mountain with his Dad and best friend Steve, aka Gale. It was a beast apparently! They had to hike 3 miles to the base of the mountain in the pouring rain (which actually turned into 8 miles because Dad didn't know where he was going!), set up camp for the night, try to sleep, and wake up early the next morning to hike the beast. I think it took around 5 hours to reach the top.

Here is a glacier pool they passed on the way up....brrrrrr!

Nearby mountain peaks of Broken Top, Bachelor, and South Sister.

They made it! And what a view!

David got home that night saying how much fun the hike was, but that camping officially sucks! Who wants to freeze their buns off while lying on the hard, rocky ground all night long just waiting for first light because you can't fall asleep??? Haha! I knew I married him for a reason! We love the outdoors, but when it's bedtime, point us to a hot shower and warm, cozy bed!

Just thought this was cute of Tyson. I got a thumbs up for a good breakfast!

This past weekend, we went to Oxbow Park, for the first time this summer, to splash around in the Sandy River and enjoy the last remaining warm days of summer. We had a great time!

Tyson loved splashing in the water and throwing rocks with his Dad

I didn't pack a swim diaper, and his regualr one filled up really fast! We just had to take it off and let him air dry for a while.....okay, okay.... I just wanted a bum shot!
And it was definitely worth it!

World Champion rock climber!

Tire swingin'

He loved his bubble bath at the end of our long day. After his shampoo, he wanted to brush his hair.

Tyson thought he was so funny sticking his hair in the bubbles!

Hope everyone is enjoying the last couple of days of summer too!
Oh, and I have exactly 2 months from today until my due date! Woo-hoo!

Strongest Baby Competition

David and I decided to train Tyson for the Strongest Baby Competition. He did impressively well his first day of training! Check it out!

He could actually hang by himself for 20 seconds while laughing the entire time!

Look at Tyson climb!

I think we have ourselves a champion (but I already knew that)!
