After almost 40 years in the United States military, my studly dad reitred. David and I were lucky enough to get to fly back east to Washington D.C. and attend the retirement, spend my birthday with family, have a second baby shower, tour D.C. and have Thanksgiving all within one week! We were so busy but we had the most amazing time!

The retirement was held in Norfolk, VA in an E-2C Hawkeye Hanger (where the aircraft my dad piloted are kept when not being used). It was awesome! They had the military band playing, a couple of E-2s were in the hanger and one had my dad's name on it, all the women were escorted out by Naval Officers, the commander (4 star Admiral) of the Pacific Fleet flew out from Hawaii the day before to be the guest speaker....it was just amazing! Very emotional for those of you who know my love for the military, but an incredible experience! I was just so thankful that Dave was able to share that with me and see that part of my life.

Good job you guys. I am so impressed that your blog is now updated. Yep, your belly is so little still, but really cute. We are going to have our babies sometime this month, isn't that crazy. Keep updating and let me know how you feel. Love ya.

Yeah! We can finally see more posts! Probably many more once that baby boy comes into the world! Happy New Year and good luck with the upcoming babe and all the fun and sleep-deprivation that comes with it! (it is, after all, a package deal!)
